Introduction to Construction and the Building

Trades Career Exploration Program

 

The Job Connector by MIT is excited to announce that we are now accepting applications for the 2024 cohort of our Introduction to Construction and the Building Trades Career Exploration Program! This five-week program connects Cambridge residents looking to learn more about pathways to construction and building trades careers with industry experts working on the job site every day. 

Areas of focus include building trades unions, pre-apprenticeship programs, construction management, and consulting. Job Connector staff provide each participant with individualized career coaching as they progress through the program.

 

2024 Construction Program Graduates

 

Classes begin on October 22nd and run until November 21st, taking place on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Job Connector Office (792 Main Street) from 4:00pm - 6:00pm. 

Participants are required to attend each session on time and in person. A $25/hr stipend will be given to graduates of the program.

The deadline to apply is October 4th at 5:00pm. You must be a Cambridge resident to be eligible for the program. A high school diploma and english language proficiency are also required.
